As parents we just want what’s best for our children and our families. For most families they can go to their friends, families and colleagues to chat through whatever difficulties they are going through. For adoptive families it can be daunting. Not many people “get it”.

Being adopted gives us our own set of challenges. I was of six children, five of us are adopted. I’ve been through the trauma of tracing my birth family and eventually meeting them.
